Disc coupling enquiries are handled from the required torque, shaft sizes, speed, spacing, axial/angular offset requirements and material constraints. Because metallic flexible elements behave differently from elastomeric jaw couplings, the requested construction should be verified before quoting.
What To Confirm
- Existing model, series or dimensioned drawing
- Driver and driven shaft sizes
- Operating torque, speed and start/stop conditions
- Required alignment or spacing behavior
- Material, surface and environmental requirements
- Quantity and inspection expectations
Engineering Review
Do not assume interchangeability from a similar appearance. Hub length, bore capacity, fastening method, flexible-element or tooth geometry, speed limit and service factor can differ between series. The safest path is to submit the existing model and application data, then confirm the proposed replacement drawing before production.
