کوپلینگ شفت انعطافپذیر NM یک پین استوانهای ساخته شده از برخی مواد غیرفلزی است که بین دو طرف کوپلینگ و سطح داخلی حلقه بیرونی قرار میگیرد و وسیلهای برای انتقال گشتاور از طریق پین ستونی برای تحقق اتصال بین دو نیم کوپلینگ است.
کوپلینگ شفت انعطافپذیر NM بین کشویی ساخته شده از پارچه باکلیت یا پلی اورتان، مناسب برای سرعت بالا، گشتاور بزرگ، بدون ضربه شدید بین دو اتصال. حداکثر گشتاور مجاز 850 نیوتن متر و حداکثر قطر شفت 50 میلیمتر است.
